BCS: Four BCS Seniors Named Commended Students by NMSC

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) recently notified Blackhawk Christian School that four of its students were named “Commended Students” for their exceptional academic promise based upon the students’ scores on the 2011 PSAT administration.  The four BCS students recognized were Larissa Clark, Damon DeJesus, Kyra Edmondson, and Meredith Rethlake.  These four students scored in the top 5% of over 1.5 million students who took the 2011 PSAT which resulted in them making the first cut towards becoming a National Merit Scholar.  Although none of the students’ scores were high enough to continue to the Semi-Finalist round, each of the four was one of only 34,000 students named Commended Students for 2013.  Congratulations to each!
