Chapel is off to an exciting start this year. The chapel theme for the year is centered around reflection and being real. The chapel class, represented by Junior Allison Nagy and Senior Bailey Sheldon introduced a new concept this year for the theme: each quarter will have a narrower focus. First quarter chapels will be about being real with ourselves, second, being real with God, third, being real with each other, and finally, being real with the world.
This week’s worship was led by a team of seniors Liz Coats, Katie Fauser, Ashton East, Kyla Williams, Cameron Chambers, and Keaton Clay.
After worship, each class grouped together for a time of prayer for the year. Various students in each grade prayed over each other, the teachers, and the school year. Toward the end of the breakout time, the senior class divided amongst the rest of the classes and prayed with the underclassmen.
In conclusion senior Ric Hall prayed that we would be in the world, but not of it and that we would have guidance for the coming year.
