Recently, students at Blackhawk Christian middle and high school, and their families ha a chance to watch the fall band and choir concert.
Noteworthy performed, along with the Middle and High school choirs. Noteworthy sang many great songs, one including coffee. The song is called “Coffee in A Cardboard Cup” and featuring Claire Mueter and Keaton Clay in a comedic solo. Also sung, was the song “Can you Feel the Love Tonight”. Ashton East sang the solo.
The school’s bands also performed. The Middle school band played the James Bond theme song, with solos from Muriel Toenges and Tia Welty.
Senior Jordan Brown directed the first song, “Sing, Sing, Sing” for the high school band. He and sophomore Grace Maconochie had solos during the song. The high school band also performed a mashup of the Beatles called, “Love”. Toward the end of the compilation, “Hey Jude” was played. For a bit of the song the band began singing. Before the concert, Matthew Rumple said, “I’m excited for Hey Jude and I want to see if the student body sings along with us.”
Both the bands and choirs did a great job. Kaitlyn Horne said, “People should look forward hearing the talents of the students in our school and understanding that like athletes, we have to practice.” The Fine Arts Department spent a lot of work preparing the songs and it definitely showed.
Like always Noteworthy closed the concert with the song Worthy is the Lamb as a benediction for students and parents.
