Leaf Raking

On November 4th, 2015 more than 360 students at Blackhawk Christian students took on more than 150 yards to clean yards and rake leaves. Mr. Holloway, English teacher, took the time to get 32 rakes gathered for students to use as well as organize the raking day to give back to our local neighborhoods. Teachers and students gave back to our local communities and served the Lord while having fun!

After Mrs. Graf’s connect group finished raking all of their assigned yards went on to help other connect groups that weren’t finished with their assigned yards. Many other groups did the same, demonstrating their dedication to service and their positive attitudes for the day.

Giving back to people that are in need of help doesn’t just please them, but also pleases God. The students of Blackhawk Christian give a big thanks to the connect group leaders and teachers who made it possible for the community service, and a huge thank you to God who made it possible to rake in 70 degree weather!

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven” Matthew 5:16.
